Pre Purchase - Car Inspection
Scrut Integrity Inspection (SII)

“Why You Need a Pre-Purchase Inspection Before Buying a Used Car

When it comes to buying a used car, it can be hard to know what you’re getting yourself into. Even if a car looks great on the outside, there could be hidden issues lurking under the hood. That’s why it’s essential to get a pre-purchase inspection before making a purchase.

A pre-purchase inspection is a comprehensive check of a car’s condition, covering everything from the chassis to the engine, the exterior and interior, and all the car’s systems. Our certified technicians will check over 120 points on the car, ensuring that you know exactly what you’re buying before you sign on the dotted line.

The Benefits of a Pre-Purchase Inspection

  1. Peace of Mind: Knowing that a car has been thoroughly inspected before you buy it can give you peace of mind. You’ll know that there are no hidden surprises waiting for you down the road.
  2. Avoiding Costly Repairs: A pre-purchase inspection can help you avoid buying a car that needs expensive repairs. Our technicians will check for issues like engine leaks, transmission problems, and other potential red flags.
  3. Saving Money: In the long run, getting a pre-purchase inspection can save you money. By identifying potential problems before you buy a car, you can negotiate a better price or avoid buying a lemon altogether.
  4. Making an Informed Decision: With a pre-purchase inspection, you’ll have all the information you need to make an informed decision about whether or not to buy a car.

The Risks of Not Getting a Pre-Purchase Inspection

  1. Buying a Lemon: If you don’t get a pre-purchase inspection, you could end up buying a car that’s a lemon. A lemon is a car that has a significant defect that makes it unsafe or inoperable.
  2. Getting Cheated by a Salesman: Some used car salesmen will try to hide problems with a car to make a sale. A pre-purchase inspection can help you avoid being misled by a dishonest salesman.
  3. Paying Too Much: If you don’t get a pre-purchase inspection, you could end up paying too much for a car. Without knowing the car’s true condition, you might not be able to negotiate a fair price.
